My favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego. I love all the branches of this restaurant but this is my favorite. I love the location and service here. It's bigger than the one in South Park so it's easy to find parking. The pizza is always top notch! I love even just ordering pizza to go! I love the ambiance too because you can walk around liberty station once you filled your stomach with delicious food.

The wait for dinner was a modest 20 minutes. When the text arrived that our table was ready we proceeded to the hostess stand. An older woman, who appeared to be the manager, came up to the stand, looked at the list, answered a phone call, and then walked away. Not only did she not say anything to us as we stood right in front of her, she didn't even look up (the reason for the drop of one star). The young hostess came and greeted us with a smile and politely took us to our table (right by the door to the kitchen, but I guess someone has to sit there). The outside patio is nicely done. One thing to keep in mind is that Officine is right by the airport, so the planes are very loud. We did have to continuously stop our conversation each time a plane came in. They have a nice and extensive wine list, with options from a variety of regions. The gluten-free options here are excellent! Never have we seen such an airy and thick crust that was gluten-free. Seriously, this was, by far, the BEST gluten-free pizza we've ever had. The meatballs had good flavor, and both the regular and gluten-free pastas were cooked well. We'll definitely head back to Officine next time we are in the area!

Everything was delicious!!! Period!!! Server was amazing . Food was out of this world . The wait time was short for a Saturday . This will be my go to when craving Italian eats .

My party of 6 came to eat dinner at 9pm here. Each table gets bread that you get oil and vinaigrette. The food was yummy and I highly recommend sharing with one other person so you can try a combination of things (pizza and a pasta, salad and a pizza, pizza and a salad, etc). There is the usual "would you like parmigiana" with the server who drops some on the plate which is a nice flare to the meal. I tried this place in San Marcos and this location is definitely way bigger and conveniently located in liberty station. I have never been disappointed with the pasta. It has been twice now where I heard that the chicken is not the best protein to get when it comes to the pasta add on. The pizzas are light but very flavorful. This place is a nice date night or casual dinner for a group. Average cost of a person would be around $20-$25. This place does taste like authentic italian food. I recommend coming here or the other locations throughout San Diego, and especially during happy hour!

Recently had lunch here and gotta admit. The food came out in a timely manner. The staff were all pleasant and polite. Pricing is fair. I would recommend it to friends and family.

I crave this dish weekly. My partner and I are obsessed with the gnocchi with Buona forchetta sauce. Be sure to ask for extra cheese on top! The service is always amazing. We're always so impressed by how quickly our food comes out. Great location to walk around Liberty Station. I'm obsessed with this restaurant!!

Officine Buona Forchetta in Liberty Station was a good visit, especially if you're looking for a convenient pre-event meal. The location is great, with a parking lot and other dining options nearby. I also really liked the outdoor seating--it's covered, spacious, and makes for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The food was good, though not mind-blowing. Everything was well-prepared, and the menu has a nice variety, but nothing stood out as particularly exceptional. That said, it definitely hit the spot before a concert, and I'd come back if I were in the area again. My sister and I split a wine bottle, pizza and pasta dish which was the perfect amount for us. Service was friendly, and overall, it's a reliable choice if you're looking for Italian food in a lively setting.

Just had the best experience at Buona Forchetta! we came to liberty station on a whim, places had 2+ hour waits but coming to buona was the best decision. No wait, great ambiance with most tables full and the patio heaters keeping us cozy. Everything was SO GOOD, the gluten free pizza was delicious, the radicchio salad was refreshing, and the brussels were also made to perfection. still can't get over how good the gluten free crust was though -- THANK you so much for having these options Last but not least our server Alexandria was awesome and the reason we will be back soon.

Service was quick and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing. Our order of the night was the Nicola and the Lina with some Brussels sprouts so we could pretend we are eating healthy. Nicola: Mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto di parma, truffle oil - add artichoke Lina: Pepperoni, nduja, mozzarella, stracciata and hot honey Both were phenomenal and I still can't decide which one I like more!!! Thoughts of the truffle and mushroom taste from the Nicola will likely force me to return very soon. Hot Honey is an Apex pizza ingredient and I always look for it on a menu. Tonight just reinforced how good it is when done correctly. Sweet and spicy perfection. The cheeses they picked go so perfectly with the spice from nduja and pepperoni! My wife can't handle heat and she loved it so don't be afraid it is too spicy for those who don't like a little heat. Overall - Amazing. The crust here is perfection so definitely come here if you are a true pizza fanatic.
